The curtailment of social activities since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic as Singapore moved from a circuit breaker, various stages of reopening, and now, Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), has proved challenging for many of us.

Anxiety over local COVID-19 case numbers, loss or reduction of income, increased friction between family members from prolonged work-from-home arrangements and blurring of work-life boundaries are some reasons that have led to an increase in stress levels.

Looking to boost your sex life during the pandemic? Here are some tips:

  1. Give your partner some space

  2. Date nights

  3. Find ways to lower your stress (sensual massage is a good one!)

  4. Mismatched libidos do happen, and it's totally fine

Sex is one form of physical intimacy, but it is not the only one. Physical intimacy includes cuddling, head pats, tickles, light pecks on the chin - the list goes on. Building up on intimacy is one way to keep the flame burning.
